Domain Parking in Perspective
2009-02-19 | 0 comments

Domain parking has its place. However, a domainer should not look to parking as the sole end and unique source of their revenue. Domain parking companies merely offer a replacement, or alternative, to the generic parked page that domain registrars normally put up until you set up hosting. Instead of the ppc revenue going all to the registrar, the parking service shares it with you.

What does this mean? Domain parking is only a means to an end. The end is a sale, ad revenue, or your own online business. All mean revenue, profit, and cash flow. Until you set up hosting and upload the index.html file, parking makes sense. If you can flip the domain quickly for significant profit, good for you. However, this isn’t always possible, even in traditional real estate, unless you invest in development. If you can’t sell quickly for real profit then you must look at all the options available. Domain parking is not the only option.
